THE RESIDENTIEL POLE FOR ALL : The “Village of Life”

“Domaine Nature” intends to construct an adapted hamlet adjusted for the disabled. It is groupings of individual houses made available, taking into account the needs of their occupants.
The aim is to open this “Village of Life” toward the outside by searching for links with the project, the surrounding towns (Ungersheim, Feldkirch and Bollwiller) and the towns of Mulhouse, offering suitable accommodation to people in situations of high dependency (1.8 million people in France).
The residents are directly allocated the statue of tenant when they acquire their home. They decorate to their liking and may be freely visited by their families and friends. The residences respect the individuality and autonomy of each home. Each resident has a separate entrance through a private courtyard (with local storage) and a private terrace overlooking a landscaped park. All rooms are equipped for comfort, safety and the independence of persons with disabilities. The installment of proper equipment and home automation to customize aid, based on the disability helps to maintain direct contact with each resident (videophone, alert systems). All homes are connected to common spaces and to the supervising staff quarters by covered walkways so that residents can easily have access to different locations or activities. The project is designed based on the desired goals concerning the independence of each resident, taking into account the special needs of the project Village of Life for everyone and enables the staff to ensure the safety, comfort and support of human life.


The Service of aiding people
Living in the “Village of Life” is an opportunity to enjoy all the facilities that are offered as well as being surrounded by a team that participates in the support of mobility, travel, personnel hygiene and sanitation. As well as in the monitoring of nutritional diets and elimination functions like facilitating sleeping behavior but also in the development and support of intellectual, sensory and motor skilled activities.
