As it is in line with natural environment and turned to leisure and nature, the Domaine Nature project will be built according to precise specifications, with ecological and economic high technology.

A conscious management of water resources:
- rainwater collectors
- economical water taps
- solar hot water

A conscious management of electricity:
- on-site generation
- low-energy bulbs
- use of class A products

A conscious management of buildings temperature control:
- wood pellet heating
- solar heating
- earth cooling tubes

Buildings will be:
- French High Quality Environmental certificated (HQE)
- Effinergie certificated (Effinergie is a French organization dedicated to certificate buildings according to low-energy issues)
- French BBC standard to guarantee low-energy buildings

The first step will be to optimize heat insulation by using natural and very performing insulators like wood fibers / natural fibers (hemp, flax) or cellulose fiber.
HQE, High Quality Environmental standard, is the name of the French approach of ecological architecture promoted by the HQE organization. The aim of Effinergie is to promote low-energy buildings - new ones as well as those in renovation - and to develop in France a frame of reference for the energy performance of new and existing buildings.

The photovoltaic solar energy is a mean to guarantee an economical management of the electricity power in the long term and a mean to make profits thanks to the buyback obligation by the French electricity power company (EDF) at an attractive price. The buyback price is 0.30 ?/kWh plus 0.25 ?/kWh when panels are integrated to the building. In Alsace, a photovoltaic solar panel generates from 100 to 200 kWh per m² annually.

All the area receives enough sunshine to consume this free and renewable energy.
