Here is a sum up of all the future activities which will be proposed by the centre. They are grouped in three stages following their launching order.
A reception place, a gallery and a shop
The Domaine Nature reception desk will be the best way to be in touch with this convivial area of leisure for all. It will be a spot to inform visitors who will find also activities and shops thanks to the recreation spot.
A riding centre
The riding centre will be mainly designed to offer all the activities related to horse: leisure activities, equitherapy, western riding, training, competitions, shows, rides in horse-drawn carriage and other kinds of rides. Equipments and teachers will be adapted for the practice of the disabled people.
A gîte and several atypical accommodations
The goal of the gîte will be to welcome school trips or organizations, families, friends' groups by offering them a particular space. The accommodation spot, built in wood, will be simple and spacious. Two sleeping quarters from 10 to 20 persons each and two bedrooms for the supervisors are planned. The sanitary arrangements spot (with showers, toilets, baby space, kitchen, washing up point) will be shared with the atypical accommodations area. The atypical accommodation will be composed by tepees, yurts, cabins in trees, caravans and mobil-home.
An observatory
On the highest spot of the Domaine Nature centre, the visitors will find an observatory accessible to all in order that young and old, non-disabled and disabled people will be able to admire the sky, the Vosges Mountains, wild animals and so on.
The Life Hamlet
Domaine Nature would like to build a life hamlet near Mulhouse to give appropriated solutions to people suffering from disabilities, help them to realize their life project and accompany them. The three main lines of this project are:
- the choice of a self-catering accommodation without being isolated
- the setting up of compensation means in equipments and human beings
- the development of the social link and the access to work and leisure
The city of organizations
Managed as a youth and community centre, the goal of the city of organizations will be to offer the local people various activities like dance, theatre, sewing workrooms, yoga. These activities will be open to adults as well as the young and in the same spirit of openness between non-disabled and disabled people.
Events
This Domaine Nature Department plans to create animations. It will welcome conferences, concerts, expositions or business seminars. It could be used to organize weddings and other parties and celebrations.
An educational farm
The aim of this particular farm will be to give an educational medium to everyone in order to link people and their environment (animals, vegetation, land.). It will be a real approach to alert people to the protection of nature. It will be also a place of exchange, shared moments, discoveries, responsibilities, awareness and experimentation. It will welcome also school groups.
A business incubator
It will deal with grouping together small companies, artisans or self-employed around services linked to impairment, tourism or to the site.
An institution and a support service thanks to work
The French organism ESAT (Etablissement et Service d'Aide par le Travail) is a health and social services network which proposes professional opportunities and a health and social support to the disabled people and those with a work capacity under 1/3 of a non-disabled worker.
A sports complex accessible to the disabled people
The sports complex will offer numerous disciplines, a reception spot and a particular support.
A pet house
The pets (dogs, cats, ponies, horses and other pets) of our customers will be looked after in this designated place
A tree-climbing park managed by a private company
This adventure park will be an outdoor place dedicated to the practice of acrobatic, fun and sports activities.
A fitness trail
Several paths dedicated to outdoor sports activities, discovery and teaching vocation are planned.
A home for disabled workers
The home for disabled workers will be located a little way away from the site's animations, in a calm place with a hall and a private parking. This home will be dedicated to welcome, permanently or for a few days, guests who have impairment and who work on the Domaine Nature site. It will be composed by individual studio flats in order to guarantee the respect of privacy. All the accommodations will be specially adapted to welcome disabled people.
A day reception
The temporary reception concerns disabled people of all ages. It answers a double need: on one hand, allowing a disabled person to change his/her living environment occasionally and to avoid confinement; and on the other hand, giving respite break to carers. It aims for the development or the maintenance of the benefits and the autonomy of the welcomed person and to make easier or to preserve his/her social inclusion.
A hotel
In the heart of the Domaine Nature park, the hotel has to be thought as a transitory rest place. It will be warm and comfortable. It will be designed to welcome all kind of public, including a large number of disabled people.
A spa
The spa is a place to relax. Several cares will be available: "à la carte" cares for one hour or one week, scheduled cares or unexpected rest breaks.
A restaurant
A lunch at the restaurant will be the opportunity for everyone to spend a convivial moment between friends or in family, without thinking about being disabled or not. You also are assured that you will enjoy good food: a genuine and inventive cuisine will be served. The restaurant will combine the traditional inn and the self-service restaurant for the catering of the permanent residents.
